Find a shirt that fits you using the tables below, which give detailed information on the shirts with the largest chest measurements for each collar size, for both US and UK retailers. Usually, Brooks Brothers is the company that makes the largest shirts. Their Traditional Fit is much larger than any other brand I have data for.

This is to be avoided – shirts which are too tight – as shown in the image below. This man has bought a shirt where the shirt chest measurement is not much larger than his own chest measurement.  The difference for the chest should depend on how tight you want the shirt to be. A six inch difference is comfortable, five inches normal and four inches tighter. For the waist, a four inch difference is comfortable and three inches normal.

The image shows a man wearing a shirt which is too tight. Wearing shirts for large men with the correct chest sizing will avoid this problem.
